THE WEST COAST
White Pebbles Beneath Towering Cliffs
Aspri Ammos lies on Othoni's western coast, beneath towering cliffs. Accessible only by sea, the beach remains completely unspoiled, with no tavernas, sunbeds, umbrellas, or other facilities. That is precisely its charm: a peaceful place where all you'll find is the sea, white pebbles, and the wild landscape of Othoni.
The Beach
Aspri Ammos is known for its white sand, smooth pebbles, and turquoise waters that deepen quickly while remaining remarkably clear. It is an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. Behind the beach, steep white cliffs rise dramatically, creating a spectacular natural setting and keeping the area untouched and secluded.
The beach has no facilities and no mobile phone signal. Be sure to bring water, food, shade, and anything else you may need during your visit. Before setting out, always check the weather forecast, as Othoni's western coast is the first part of the island to be affected by changing winds, and conditions can shift within a few hours.
Next to the beach lies Calypso's Cave. When the sea is calm, experienced swimmers can reach it by swimming from Aspri Ammos.
