A small association keeping Othoni's identity alive: preserving traditions, supporting community life, and sharing what makes this island worth protecting.
Rooted in our deep love for Othoni, our association was created with one simple purpose: to support, preserve, and celebrate our beautiful island. Othoni is more than just a place on the map, it is our home, our heritage, and a source of pride for all of us.
Through cultural events, community initiatives, and collective efforts, we work to keep our traditions alive, strengthen the bonds between islanders and friends of Othoni, and contribute to the island's growth and well-being. Whether you live here, have roots here, or simply love visiting, you are part of the Othoni family.

WHAT'S ON
Festivals, community gatherings, and local initiatives — find out what's happening on the island.
Past A 5 km open water swimming race in Othoni on 23 August, with free participation and optional donations supporting the maintenance of the island’s paths and traditional stone walls.
Past Join us for two unforgettable summer evenings in Othoni! 📅 August 14: Traditional festival with live music, local food and a festive atmosphere. An extra ferry service will operate from Agios Stefanos at 18:00, with return departure at 00:00 for visitors' convenience. 📅 August 15: Beach Party with DJ by the sea.
i. HUMANITARIAN
Supporting the people when it matters.
From 2023, members and friends of the association can donate blood at any hospital or mobile blood donation unit.
In cooperation with the Hellenic Red Cross - Corfu Branch, we organized our first First Aid Seminar, with many more planned for the future.
Small-scale support programs for families and individuals in need.
ii. OUTREACH
Keeping the community close and sharing Othoni with the world.
Each season, we create new clothing and accessories inspired by our lighthouse — the symbol of our association — so it can be worn all year round.
Almost every year, we create handmade candles and Botides for Easter celebrations. Whether you use them or keep them as a keepsake, they carry a small piece of the island.
Thanks to Skyline WebCams, we’ve installed a live camera at the Ammos area.
Understanding the power of modern communication, we keep our social media active—not only to share news about the association but also to showcase the true spirit of Othoni
iv. COMMUNITY
Driven by the needs of the island, we step in whenever help is needed—made possible thanks to the support of the people.
The association covered the cost of replacing the church’s plumbing during its major renovation
Supporting the quality of life for those working on the island is important. That’s why we covered the cost of a new bed, mattress, and desk for the living space used by doctors at the community health building
With a deep respect for history, the association contributed to the monument’s recast by providing financial support for the purchase of the stone.
v. EVENTS
We organise and support events that bring the community together and celebrate our culture.
The association organises a two-day event in August that brings together the island's residents and visitors in celebration of local culture and traditions.
Annually, we come together to celebrate the New Year by cutting the Vasilopita. It's a wonderful chance to connect during the winter, reflect on the past year, share our plans for the future, and exchange ideas—all in a festive, joyful atmosphere
vi. OTHER
We always strive to make the most of every opportunity to support and care for the island.
Since 2023 we carried out maintenance on the playground, invested in new equipment for our annual panigyri, and purchased a storage container for safe equipment storage.
Every year, many scout groups visit Othoni. We support them with information, guidance, and facilities while they contribute volunteer work to the community.
We supported the Swim Il Salento team in the open water swimming race held this year on Othoni.
